Newly-elected Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has issued a series of denials in responding to a number of questions posed by the Jewish Chronicle about his links with Holocaust deniers and anti-Semites. But it has prompted a widespread debate about the company he keeps.
On the question of why he associates with terrorist groups Hamas and Hezbollah and refers to them as ‘friends’, a spokesman replied that the term was used purely as diplomatic language in the context of dialogue and was not an endorsement of a particular set of views.
