America’s Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley has picked up a ‘Defender of Israel’ award for her feisty stand at the international body.
Presenting the award, Christians United for Israel founder John Hagee praised the diplomat as a “courageous voice of truth in one of the most misguided, hypocritical organisations in the world”.
The Ambassador herself has referred to the UN as a “global epicentre of anti-Semitism” while crediting her Christian faith as the driving force behind her stand.
For his part, Pastor Hagee has declared that “It is not possible to say, ‘I am a Christian’ and not love the Jewish people.”
