THE CLIMATE will be the focus of a new monthly pray-and-fast campaign by Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Churches launched on November 1.
Christians are invited to join in the prayer and fasting on the first day of every month until December 2015 when Paris hosts the 21st United Nations Climate Change Summit.
A spokesman for the churches’ joint public issues team said: “In the case of climate change, we are not ignorant of some of the issues and causes that lie behind our predicament, and we have a responsibility to respond as those who are servants of a God who is Creator of all things.”
