A HOME FOR 56 CHILDREN orphaned during the Ebola crisis in Sierra Leone is flourishing thanks to the hard work of a Christian grass roots organisation.

Mrs Kippy Agyei, founder of Heaven Homes, founded the initiative in 2012 to build family centred homes, with a ‘house parent’ in each house, for the grieving youngsters.

“We see social care as our mandate and duty to humanity,” said Kippy. “Therefore it was only natural that we take a proactive stance and action to care for the children. We do not refer to them as orphans at all, we see them as family, adopted into the HH family.”
