Football blasphemy
Have any other readers been disturbed by Kate Beckinsale misusing the Lord’s prayer when England was playing in the Euros final in Berlin?
Posed as in fervent prayer, with hands together and eyes closed, she spoke this aloud: “Our Gareth, who art in Berlin, hallowed be thy king, thy time has come, thy will be done, in normal time, not extra.”
This should not be allowed on TV.
I marvel each time I receive this paper, at the news you publish, so many thanks for all involved.

It was a miracle!
I don’t know why the writer of the article quoted in ‘Iran’s light show’ (June/July) wants to put a negative spin on what was so clearly a divine miracle.
It was a miracle that such disparate nations as the US, UK, France, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Jordan (not mentioned) worked so well together, and that new technology worked so well. Arrow 3 had only been used once before (against a Houthi missile attack from Yemen). The inventor said, “It was good, but not that good!” So he acknowledged the miracle.
The claim that “America co-ordinated the attack so that no-one will be physically injured or killed” clearly isn’t true.
Firstly, the little Bedouin girl has only recently regained consciousness (many people were praying for her!). Secondly, it would have been worse if the Israelis had not gone into their bunkers when the sirens went off. Thirdly, Israel was surprised that Jerusalem was targeted as many Muslims live in Jerusalem. It was Israeli hardware that shot down those missiles and drones.
It was as much a failure for Iran as a success for Israel. And since when has the Iranian regime cared about civilian casualties?

Heartfelt thanks
I am writing on behalf of Southcote Family Church to express our profound gratitude for the HEART newspapers you have generously provided us.
These newspapers have been instrumental in our evangelism and discipleship efforts. We distribute them to visitors and non-Christian users of our church hall, and they have proven to be an effective tool for sparking meaningful conversations about faith. The insightful articles and thought-provoking content have not only enriched our community but also helped us reach out to those seeking spiritual guidance.
Thank you once again for the HEART newspapers; they truly are making a difference in our community.
