Brexit has given us an opportunity to regain our God-given identity as a nation.
We have been a fiercely independent people, an island nation with the English Channel separating us from Europe. It is God who sets the nations’ boundaries, not superstates (Deuteronomy 32:8).
Britain led the world in establishing a system of law, justice and democracy based on the Ten Commandments and Magna Carta.
Surely God has not forgotten the blood of the martyrs, the mis- sionaries, reformers and pioneers who made our nation great. There has been a tremendous spiritual battle over Brexit because Satan does not want Britain to fulfil her God-given destiny to bring the light of the Gospel into the darkness of the western world. Although there have been several national days of prayer, much more intercession is needed.
Many believers are disillusioned with the coldness and apostasy in the established denominations. The nation is ripe for judgement and the Church needs to repent and seek God’s mercy for a second chance to return to him and to fulfil our calling to bless Israel as a “sheep” nation.
Rediscovering a Hebraic understanding of Scripture is also urgent so that Christians and Messianic Jews can come together as the “one new man” (Ephesians 2:15) ahead of Christ’s return.
