Build a timber framed house in two weeks? You’re joking!
But a team of 16 from All Saints’ Lindfield did just that at Caminul Felix Family Village in Oradea, Romania last September. With careful instructions being given by Caminul Felix workers Dan and Beni, the Sussex team worked to construct all the timber frames and roof, then insulate and render the house. The house is one of a number being built for young married couples who would never afford it without help.
One such couple, Arabela and Dorin, were overwhelmed to see their new home miraculously taking shape. As part of their agreement with Caminul Felix, the happy couple will now complete all the internal fixtures and fittings and decorating themselves.
