Former Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams and arch-atheist Richard Dawkins are co-signatories to a letter in The Daily Telegraph about faith school pupil quotas.

The two men are named in a list of public figures signing the letter who want the cap on the number of religious students at faith schools to stay at 50 per cent.

The government wants to lift the cap in order to encourage faith groups to open new schools.
